El Proyecto Final // Final Project

Ha sido un tiempo desde nuestro entrada pasada, porque estábamos trabajando un montón en un vídeo final. Mientras el vídeo es parte de un proyecto para nuestra clase de Doctrina Social, esta entrada no es para nuestro proyecto. Ya estamos afuera de los obligaciones de nuestra clase. Ahora, nuestras entradas estarán sorpresas a ti y yo juntos, porque nunca pensaba que este blog continuara después de nuestro proyecta ya esta entregando. Pero aquí, estamos… y todavía estoy escribiendo- porque a tener ochenta seguidores de nuestro blog en pocas semanas es increíble. Parece como hay una necesidad para este espacio a continuar la discusión sobre el abuso contra la mujer. Por esa razón, yo quiero continuar este blog, y espero que continúes a leer.

It’s been a while since our last entry- this is because we were working on a final video. While the video is part of a class project for our Social Doctrine Theology class, this entry is not for our project. We are already finished with the obligations of our class project. Now,we will be surprised, you and me together, because I never thought that this blog would continue after our project had been finished and turned into our professor. But here we are … and I’m still writing- because we have acquired eighty followers for our blog in just a few weeks; this is amazing. It looks like there is a need for this space to continue the discussion about the abuse against women. For that reason, I want to continue this blog, and I hope you continue to read.

Está lejos de ser perfecto, pero eso es lo que sucede con un plazo ajustado, ¿verdad? Tengo la esperanza que encuentre significado en el vídeo y por favor siéntase libre de añadir pensamientos en nuestra sección de comentarios.

Valiosa Mujer // Valuable Woman

‘The mother makes sacrifices in order to give everything to her children and family; she is worthy of respect and appreciation.’

“La mujer ha adquirido una conciencia cada día más clara de su propia dignidad humana. Por ello no tolera que se la trate como cosa inanimada o mero instrumento; exige, que, tanto en el ámbito de la vida doméstica como en el de la vida pública, se le reconozcan los derechos y obligaciones propios de la persona humana“. JUAN XXIII

“Por lo que se refiere a la mujer, hay que darle la posibilidad de trabajar en condiciones adecuadas a las exigencias y los deberes de esposa y de madre”. JUAN XXIII

La mujer constituye un elemento esencial para nuestra sociedad, pues del éxito de ella depende el futuro de la humanidad. La presencia de ella debe ser considerada indispensable en todos los momento de la vida por esto debemos asegurar su integridad.

De este maravilloso ser dotado de sensibilidad e inteligencia con dignidad propia depende la educación de los hijos y su futuro, el desarrollo adecuado de la familia, la estabilidad de un matrimonio, hasta el mejor desempeño de un hombre, porque Dios creó a dos seres diferentes hombre y mujer para que puedan complementarse y se acerquen más a la perfección, así juntos puedan contribuir al bien común de la sociedad.

The woman is an essential element of our society; as the future of humanity depends on the success of women. Her presence should be considered essential in every moment of life; therefore, we must ensure its integrity.

This wonderful gift of sensitivity for intelligence and dignity depends on the education of children and their future, proper development of the family, the stability of a marriage, and the best performance of a man. God created two different beings, man and woman, so that they can complement each other and grow closer to perfection– so that together, they can contribute to the common good of society.

Daughters of Emmonak/ Hijas de Emmonak

Este vídeo demuestra el problema grave de abuso contra la mujer en Alaska de E.E.U.U. Según la descripción del vídeo por los creadores, “Hijas de Emmonak es un documental sobre una mujer esquimal Yup’ik, Lenora Hootch “Lynn”, que trabaja para terminar la violencia doméstica en su pueblo rural de Emmonak, Alaska. En 1982, Lynn abrió Refugio de Mujeres de Emmonak para crear un lugar seguro para las mujeres y los niños de las aldeas vecinas. Lynn ha dedicado su vida a la recuperación de la cultura de su pueblo y de los valores tradicionales como el alcohol, las drogas, y la violencia se han roto a través de su comunidad. Hijas de Emmonak trae estas historias poderosas a primer plano, destacando el sueño de Lynn de un futuro en el que sus nietos caminar por las calles sin miedo.

 

Este vídeo da cuenta de una conexión entre el abuso de substancias y el problema separado del abuso contra la mujer. Según la literatura ‘La Violencia Doméstica Contra La Mujer’, publicado por los obispos Católicos de los E.E.U.U., la Iglesia Católica tiene esta respuesta,

 

” El alcohol y las drogas se asocian a menudo con
la violencia doméstica, pero no lo causan. un
hombre abusivo que bebe o usa drogas tiene dos
problemas distintos: el abuso de sustancias y
violencia. Ambos deben ser tratados.”

This video reveals a connection between substance abuse and the separate issue of abuse against women. According to the literature ‘Domestic Violence Against Women’, published by the Catholic bishops of the United States, the Catholic Church has this response,

“Alcohol and drugs are often associated with
domestic violence, but these are not the cause of domestic violence. An
abusive man drinking or using drugs has two
different problems: substance abuse and
violence. Both should be treated. “

Hola a todos de nuestros lectores, y bienvenidos al blog ‘Protección Para Ella‘.

Para un proyecto final de nuestro clase de Doctrina Social de la Iglesia, Elizabeth Bittner, Lucero Osorio, Lucero Valdivia, y Julia Brown estamos  trabajando juntos a cumplir las metas siguientes:

1. Aumentar la conciencia a tantas personas como sea posible sobre la dignidad de cada mujer, y el respeto a cada mujer merece inherentemente. También, esperamos a tener discurso sobre ese tópico por el blog y nuestro día de movimiento en la UCSP (detalles pronto- debe estar listo para dulces, globos, fotos, y díganos su opinión).

2. Hablar sobre el grave problema del abuso de la mujer en sus diversas formas.

3. Compartir y aprender sobre soluciones efectivos contra el abuso de la mujer.

4. Celebrar la dignidad de cada ser hermano y la parte esencial de cada ser humano contra el abuso de la mujer.

Hello to all of our readers, and welcome to the blog ‘Protección Para Ella‘ .

For our final project in our class, The Social Doctrine of the Church, Elizabeth Bittner, Lucero Osorio, Lucero Valdivia, and Julia Brown are working together to meet the following goals :

1.  Increase awareness about the dignity of every woman, and how every woman deserves respect inherently . We also hope to have discussions on this topic for the blog and our day of awareness in our university, UCSP (details soon; though you can be ready for sweets , balloons , photos, and sharing your opinion).

2.   Speaking about the serious problem of the abuse of women in its various forms.

3.  Share and learn about effective solutions against abuse of women.

4.  Celebrate the dignity of every human being and emphasize the essential part that every person plays to stop the abuse of women.
